Do I need to be a strong swimmer to learn surfing?
You do not need to be a professional swimmer, but you should be comfortable in the water. For our Level 1 (Beginner) lessons, we take you into shallow, breaking white water waves that are not far from the shore. Your instructor is always there to give you advice, ensure your safety, and help you get the feeling of the board.
I’ve never surfed before. Will I actually stand up?
That is our goal! We specialize in introducing beginners to the art of surfing. With our strict ratio of 1 instructor for every 2 students, we provide personalized attention to help you master the basics (paddling and pop-up) and get you standing up on your board in no time.
Where do the lessons take place?
Our main locations for surf lessons are Batu Bolong Beach in Canggu and Legian Beach. For Surf Coaching (Intermediate/Advanced) and Surf Guiding, we are flexible. We will take you to the best spots on the island (reef breaks or beach breaks) depending on the swell, the forecast, and your specific skill level.
What is included in the lesson, and what should I bring?
We provide: The surfboard (learner board for beginners) and a UV protective rash guard. You should bring: Your swimwear, a towel, a change of dry clothes, and your own sunscreen/zinc. (Note: We do not provide reef booties, so please bring your own if you require them.)
Do you offer photo or video packages?
Yes! We can organize in-water and beachside photographers and videographers to document your progress. This is great for memories or for video analysis to improve your technique. Price: IDR 250,000.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as soon as possible. We are a small, dedicated team, and our slots can fill up quickly, especially during peak season. Please contact us via WhatsApp to check availability.
How do I pay?
We currently accept payment in Cash (IDR). Please message us on WhatsApp if you have specific questions regarding payment.
What if the weather is bad?
We surf year-round! Unless conditions are unsafe (dangerous storms or winds), lessons go ahead. Rain or shine, you are going to get wet anyway!
